If someone in my child’s school tests positive for COVID-19 do I need to get my child tested?
In general, if someone from a school tests positive for COVID-19 and your child is not in the same classroom or otherwise considered a close contact, they do not need to get tested or be kept away from school. Public Health Sudbury & Districts will support the school to inform parents or guardians if their child is considered a close contact of the case. This includes sharing specific instructions about testing and isolation, if required.
