Financ\u00e9e par l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Laurentienne et Sant\u00e9 publique Sudbury et districts, chaque subvention favorise la collaboration \u00e0 des travaux qui concernent la sant\u00e9 publique.<\/p>\n<p>Louise Picard, en l\u2019honneur de qui la subvention a \u00e9t\u00e9 baptis\u00e9e, est une championne de l\u2019innovation et des partenariats. Elle a d\u00e9but\u00e9 sa carri\u00e8re en tant qu\u2019infirmi\u00e8re-hygi\u00e9niste aupr\u00e8s de Sant\u00e9 publique Sudbury et districts, puis est pass\u00e9e \u00e0 la coordination et \u00e0 la direction au sein de l\u2019organisme. Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, elle a jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le pr\u00e9dominant dans la cr\u00e9ation de partenariats fructueux entre le secteur de la sant\u00e9 publique et le milieu universitaire afin que des pratiques novatrices et am\u00e9lior\u00e9es soient mises au point dans le domaine, ce qui a men\u00e9 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation, en 2003, de la Subvention pour les initiatives de recherche en sant\u00e9 publique. En 2006, apr\u00e8s que Louise a pris sa retraite, la subvention a \u00e9t\u00e9 rebaptis\u00e9e en son honneur.<\/p>\n<h3>Objet de la Subvention de recherche en sant\u00e9 publique Louise Picard :<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>amorcer et intensifier la collaboration \u00e0 des travaux de recherche appliqu\u00e9e en sant\u00e9 publique qui sont nouveaux ou novateurs entre Sant\u00e9 publique Sudbury et districts et l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Laurentienne;<\/li>\n<li>augmenter la recherche appliqu\u00e9e \u00e0 des questions de sant\u00e9 publique en rapport avec Sudbury et les districts, mais aussi les Normes de sant\u00e9 publique de l\u2019Ontario;<\/li>\n<li>am\u00e9liorer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 des programmes en favorisant une recherche \u00e9valuative et une pratique fond\u00e9e sur des donn\u00e9es probantes;<br \/>\nencourager les efforts qui m\u00e8neront \u00e0 d\u2019autres demandes de financement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Un appel de propositions est lanc\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e \u00e0 tout le corps professoral de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Laurentienne et au personnel de Sant\u00e9 publique Sudbury et districts. Les demandes doivent d\u00e9montrer le partenariat et exposer la mani\u00e8re dont les deux chercheurs vont effectivement mener leurs travaux.
