Provincewide Shutdown

On Thursday, April 1, 2021, the Government of Ontario announced a Provincewide Shutdown to help slow the increase in COVID-19 cases. Public Health Sudbury & Districts’ service area, including Greater Sudbury and the districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin, will enter a temporary shutdown effective April 3, 2021, at 12:01 a.m. as part of the provincewide order. When the provincewide shutdown comes into effect, the current COVID-19 Response Framework will be paused. Owners and operators of businesses and organizations are strongly encouraged to carefully review all information to determine which rules apply to their sector. The general requirements for the lockdown can be found at the Provincewide Shutdown webpage and specific requirements at the Regulation: Ontario Regulation 82/20: RULES FOR AREAS IN STAGE 1 under Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act, 2020, S.O. 2020, c. 17, Schedules 1 to 5. Information is also available on Public Health Sudbury & Districts’ website at www.phsd.ca.
