The Mandatory Blood Testing Act allows eligible persons who have come into contact with the blood and body fluids of another person, to apply to the Medical Officer of Health to have a blood sample of the person whose body substance they have come into contact with tested for a communicable disease.
Applications must be submitted to the Medical Officer of Health in the public health unit where the respondent lives.
