Position summary

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Health Promoter plays a key role within the Health Promotion and Vaccine Preventable Diseases Division. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Health Promoter will research, plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate health promotion initiatives to align with the Ontario Public Health Standards (OPHS) and address local community needs.

The Health Promoter will also provide recommendations based on analysis of data and results related to program planning. The Health Promoter will also provide consultation and provincial and community partners on research, ethics, evaluation, health promotion theories, best practices, and policy development in accordance with agency policy.
