If you have concerns about your child’s growth and development, tools are available to help you determine if your child is meeting their milestones. You can also encourage your child along the way with some simple activities such as crawling and tummy time. Additional ideas are available to help you keep your child active.

Toddlers and preschoolers

Exploring and learning are a child’s tasks at this age. This can be challenging for parents as children will often disobey rules and test limitations. Parents can support their children by encouraging healthy food choices and physical activity. Ensuring children are safe and how to ensure their safety will also make it easier for you to allow your child to explore their environment and learn from their choices. Triple P Positive Parenting Program offers assistance to parents with questions regarding parenting on a large range of topics.

As your child grows, you may wonder if they are growing well and meeting the appropriate milestones.

When you are not with your children, daycares can offer excellent program for your children. Best start hubs, parks and playgrounds can also offer enjoyable environments for you to play with your children.

School-aged children

Parents can also support their child’s growth and development by providing opportunities for physical activity and providing healthy food choices.

School can be both rewarding and challenging for parents. Parents can find tips to support their child’s learning and to deal with behaviours through the Positive Parenting Program.

This time is also a time of growth and change for your child. You are your child’s primary source of information. Talking to your child about body changes, how they will manage stress and peer pressure will help your child make good choices. If you have concerns about your child’s growth and development, tools are available to help you determine if your child is meeting their milestones. You may also have questions regarding your child’s safety, when they can be left alone or if before and after school programming is more appropriate.
