Roll up your sleeves, Greater Sudbury! COVID-19 vaccine is available at today’s walk-in clinic

Public Health Sudbury & Districts is encouraging eligible individuals to attend a walk-in clinic currently taking place at Centennial Community Centre and Arena in Hanmer. The COVID-19 walk-in clinic has been extended to 2:15 p.m. You can attend the walk-in clinic to receive a first dose if you are 12 years of age and older. If you are 70 years of age and older in 2021 or if you received a first dose on or before April 18, 2021, you are eligible for a second dose and can attend the clinic.

You may also be eligible for a second dose at the original interval if you have certain health conditions or are a member of a high-risk population group. More details are available under the “Second dose booking” heading on the vaccination clinics webpage: phsd.ca/COVID-19/vaccine-clinics.

An additional walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic has been scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. There will be up to 400 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Scheduling an appointment is still available to those that would prefer to attend a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at a set time. To book an appointment, visit covid-19.ontario.ca/book-vaccine or call 705.674.2299 (toll-free 1.800.708.2505), between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., seven days a week.
