Work Location Arrangement: Partial On-site – the position requires a combination of regular on-site and remote work. Reasons and schedules can vary, but worker attends on-site regularly (for example, each week).
Salary: $35.55- $40.56 per hour
Position summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, the Business Support Analyst is responsible for designing new solutions, modifying, enhancing or adapting existing systems and integrating new features or improvements, all with the aim of improving business efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Investigates business problems, analyzing optional solutions and creating and presenting recommendations.
- Provides recommendations for solutions which fit within the agency’s suite of applications, evaluating alternatives, detailing functions to be performed, designing work methods and procedures
- Works closely with clients to aid in the support of existing systems
- Assists with system implementation and recommends changes to client area work methods and procedures.
- Supports and provides backup to Medical Informatics Specialists to act as a liaison between the business & technical staff.
- Builds and customize electronic forms, assessments, and templates to support clinical workflows and data collection needs.
- Provides technical input during system upgrades, integrations, and rollouts.
- Troubleshoots and resolve software issues related to system performance, configuration, and usability.
- Assists in troubleshooting software application issues.
- Prepares documentation for turnover to user support and operations.
- Identifies and solves application, user/operator related problems.
- Develops client specific reports and ensures data transformation and consolidation.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related field of study.
- Formal training in project management, ITIL, DevOps, process redesign or other similar discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years systems planning, support, conceptual design and feasibility study experience in a medium to large organization of a complex diverse nature.
- Knowledge of IT process modeling, structured analysis, design and programming techniques.
- Advanced oral and written proficiency in English is required.
- Advanced oral and written proficiency in French is an asset.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC).
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.
