Ontario building code fee schedule
Public Health Sudbury & Districts issues sewage system permits under the Ontario Building Code (OBC). Public Health also provides comments on land severances and zoning or minor variances. An application or service will not be processed until all fees are paid in full. Please find below Public Health’s current fee schedule as well as the proposed 2026 fees for services related to the Ontario Building Code and land development.
Open house regarding 2026 fees
Public Health is planning to increase fees for services relating to the Ontario Building Code and land development for 2026. The increased fees are required to address operational and delivery costs. The 2025 fees will remain in place until the Board of Health approves the increase.

A public health inspector will contact you to discuss your feedback regarding the 2026 Ontario Building Code fee increases.
Permit Application Submission Requirements
All applications must be submitted using the applicable provincial form and supporting documentation and must be provided in a legible, complete format. Applications submitted as photographs (e.g., cellphone pictures) will not be accepted. Submissions must be made as original hard copies or as clear, printable scanned documents (PDF preferred). This ensures the application meets the requirements of Section 8 of the Building Code Act, 1992 and Division C of the Ontario Building Code.
