COVID-19 Vaccine Minimal Contact Intervention

Public Health Sudbury & Districts, along with health professionals, such as primary care providers, should be providing client consults and education around vaccine hesitancy related to COVID-19 vaccines. Having these sensitive conversations can help to provide clarity to clients, decrease vaccine hesitancy, and increase COVID-19 vaccine uptake within our catchment area.

The COVID-19 Vaccine Minimal Contact Intervention (MCI) Quick Reference tool will help health professionals determine their patients’ vaccination status and provide them with resources to encourage vaccination. The purpose of the MCI is to ensure that all patients receive brief interventions to increase uptake of COVID-19 vaccination during face-to-face, virtual, and telephone interactions with health care professionals.
