Influenza (flu)

If you’re young, old, pregnant or have a chronic disease, you’re most likely to experience complications from the flu. Public Health Sudbury & Districts offers flu shots every year.

Public Health Sudbury & Districts recommends everyone over six months of age get the flu shot to help keep themselves and their community healthy. Flu shots are available from health care providers, walk-in clinics, public health units, and over 50 local pharmacies.

This year, during the COVID-19 pandemic, staying healthy is more important than ever. Getting the flu vaccine can help, especially for those who are more likely to experience complications from the flu. By keeping people healthy, the vaccine also helps reduce the burden on the health care system and ensures health care resources remain available.
