Tuberculosis in York region: insights, experiences, and pathways to care
- York Region Public Health is hosting an accredited webinar on October 28, 2025 at 6:30 p.m., open to healthcare providers across Ontario. The webinar will focus on recognizing and diagnosing TB, infection prevention and control practices for TB, and TB screening. Participants will be eligible to earn up to 2 Mainpro+ credits.

Webinar objectives
Through this webinar, participants will
- gain a comprehensive understanding of current TB epidemiological trends within York Region Public Health’s service area and understand the role of health care providers and public health in shifting these trends
- improve their ability to recognize and diagnose TB and improve infection, prevention, and control practices in the office
- gain an understanding of the Immigration Medical Screening (IMS) process from a patient’s perspective and understand the role of community health care providers and public health units regarding screening and follow-up
