Phased Resumption of Public Health Sudbury & Districts’ Routine Immunization Services
I am pleased to share that starting the week of March 7, 2022, Public Health Sudbury & Districts will begin a phased resumption of publicly funded immunization services that were paused in January 2022 due to the COVID-19 Omicron surge response.
The first phase will prioritize individuals eligible for high-risk vaccination programs and children overdue for routine vaccines. Vaccination opportunities will then be offered for children, youth, and adults who are due and overdue for other publicly funded vaccines, as well as restarting our school vaccination program. Refer to the table below for timelines.
|High-risk publicly funded vaccine program||Offered Monday and Tuesday afternoons beginning March 7||Main office, 1300 Paris St., Sudbury|
|Routine immunizations for individuals < 18 years of age who are overdue for vaccines||Offered Fridays beginning March 11||Elm Place office, Sudbury|
|Routine immunizations for individuals < 18 years of age who are overdue for vaccines||Offered Wednesday and Thursday beginning March 9||Main office, 1300 Paris St., Sudbury|
|Grade 7 vaccines, prioritizing students in Grade 7 and 8||Anticipated to begin in April||Schools|
|Vaccines required for school attendance including Grade 7 vaccines for students in Grade 9 and 10||Anticipated to begin in April||Select community vaccination clinic locations|
Thank you for your continued efforts to provide routine publicly funded vaccines to your eligible patients during the pandemic and beyond. It is truly a team effort to continue to ensure protection for infants, children, youth, and adults through vaccination.
Please report any publicly funded vaccines provided to infants, children, and youth to Public Health Sudbury and Districts by calling 705.522.9200, ext. 458 or via confidential fax at 705.677.9616.
